About the company

Who runs FormationHub?

FormationHub is operated by BLINKPAY LLC, a US business registered in Wyoming, with a small independent team handling operations, engineering, and customer support. No VC backing. See Who is FormationHub?.

Are you a law firm?

No. We're a business-services company, similar to TurboTax for taxes. We don't give legal advice. See Are you a law firm?.

Are you a real company?

Yes — operated by BLINKPAY LLC (Wyoming-registered), authorized Registered Agent in every state we serve, SSL on every page, PCI-compliant payment processing, zero data breaches. See Who is FormationHub?.

Where are you located?

BLINKPAY LLC (our operating entity) is registered in Wyoming.

How long have you been around?

[Founded year TBD — fill in when finalizing for publication]

About pricing

What's the actual total cost for an LLC formation?

Depends on the state and which tier. Basic tier + state filing fee = typically $XXX-$XXX. Premium tier (with EIN + OA + BOI + RA) = typically $XXX-$XXX. The state filing fee is the biggest variable — $40 in Kentucky to $500 in Massachusetts. See pricing transparency.

Do you have hidden fees?

No. We itemize every charge on checkout and on your receipt. Service fee + state fee + (optional) add-ons + sales tax. Nothing else.

Why is the Registered Agent service charged annually?

Because the Registered Agent role is ongoing. You need an RA every year you operate. We charge $199/year, same renewal price forever (until inflation forces an update, with advance notice).

Can I get a discount?

Occasionally yes — first-time customer discounts, multi-LLC bundles, referrals. Email [email protected] or open a chat and ask. We don't run permanent "discounts" because that's just pricing dressed up.

Do you offer payment plans?

Not yet for one-time charges. The Registered Agent subscription is effectively an annual payment plan. We may add multi-year-prepay discounts in 2026.

About the formation process

How long does LLC formation take?

Depends on the state. Range from same-day (Colorado, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri) to 2-3 weeks (Arizona, Maine, Pennsylvania, Texas, DC). Some states offer expedited processing for an extra fee. See LLC fees by state for state-by-state times.

Will you do a name search for me?

Yes — for free, even if you don't end up buying. We check state availability and let you know within 1 business day. We don't do trademark searches (that's a lawyer's job).

What if the state rejects my filing?

The state usually rejects because of a name conflict, missing info, or a state-specific rule. We resubmit with corrections at no extra service fee — you only pay any additional state fees if the state charges for resubmission (some do, some don't).

Can I be my own Registered Agent?

Legally yes, if you have a physical address in the state and can be there M-F 9am-5pm. Practically: most people shouldn't because of privacy + always-available requirements. See What is a Registered Agent?.

Can I form an LLC in a state I don't live in?

Yes, but you'll typically need to also register as a foreign LLC in your home state if you're doing business there. The "form in Delaware/Wyoming/Nevada to save on taxes" advice is usually wrong for small businesses. See Which state should I form in?.

What's the difference between an LLC and an S-Corp?

LLC is a legal business structure. S-Corp is a tax classification. You form an LLC, then optionally elect S-Corp taxation (saves on self-employment tax when profits exceed ~$40-50k/year). See LLC vs S-Corp vs C-Corp.

About non-US residents

Can I form a US LLC from outside the US?

Yes. We handle non-US-resident formation. You'll need: - Your full legal name - A foreign address (we'll use it for ID; the LLC's address is in the US) - A US Registered Agent (we provide this) - An EIN (we can get one for you, takes 7-14 business days for non-US applicants)

Can I open a US business bank account as a non-US resident?

Yes, with an LLC + EIN. Banks we recommend for non-US founders: Mercury (online-only, free, fastest signup), Brex (online-only), Wise (international banking).

Do I owe US taxes if I own a US LLC?

You may owe US tax on "effectively connected income." Always file Form 5472 + Form 1120 annually for foreign-owned single-member LLCs (penalty for missing it: $25,000). Talk to a US tax pro who specializes in non-resident-owned LLCs. We can refer you.

About data and security

Is my data safe?

Yes. Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). No data brokers. PII allowlist prevents EIN values, SSN, signed documents from leaving our systems. See Data security.

Do you sell my data?

No. We don't sell customer data to third parties under any circumstance.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Email [email protected]. We delete most data within 30 days; some data (tax-required records) we keep for 7 years by law.

Will you keep my EIN private?

Your EIN is stored in our system but never sent to marketing tools or shown in unauthenticated places. We never include it in email content. We do show it to you in your authenticated portal.

About support

What are your support hours?

Live chat + email: M-F 9am-6pm ET. Outside hours, leave a message and we respond first thing next business morning. Help Center is 24/7.

How fast do you respond?

  • Live chat: under 5 minutes during business hours

  • Email: within 1 business hour during business hours

  • Phone (once launched): under 30 seconds in queue

Can I talk to a human?

Yes. Chat, email, or phone (when launched) all go to real humans on our support team. No AI bots in the loop.

Can you help me with my taxes / legal disputes / contracts?

No — those require licensed professionals (CPA, attorney). We can refer you to partners. See Are you a law firm?.

About refunds and cancellations

Can I get a refund?

Yes, with conditions: - Full refund if we haven't started work - Prorated if we have - State fees not refundable once paid to the state - 30-day window for the easiest refunds

How do I cancel my Registered Agent service?

Don't just stop paying — that can lead to your LLC's administrative dissolution. File the state change of RA first (we can do this for you, or your new RA can). Then we cancel the subscription. See Switching Registered Agents.

Will you keep billing me forever if I forget about my account?

No. We send 14-day, 3-day, and same-day reminders before any renewal charge. If a charge fails, we retry for ~14 days then pause the service. Email [email protected] if you ever feel like you've been billed unfairly — we always make it right.

About the product

Does FormationHub have a mobile app?

Not yet. The web portal is fully mobile-responsive — you can do everything from your phone via Safari/Chrome. Native iOS/Android apps are on the roadmap for 2026-2027.

Can I have multiple businesses under one account?

Yes. The portal supports multi-business management with a top-left dropdown to switch between businesses. Each business has its own filings, documents, mail, and compliance calendar.

Can I add team members or accountants to my account?

Not yet. Each account has a single login. Shared/team access is on the roadmap for Q3 2026. Workaround: share login credentials with people you trust (we recommend a password manager).

How do I update my business name?

Business name changes require a state filing (Articles of Amendment). Open a chat — we'll quote the state fee + our amendment service fee.

Can I dissolve my LLC through FormationHub?

Yes. We have an LLC dissolution service ($XX + state's dissolution fee). Process takes 1-2 weeks depending on state. We file the Articles of Dissolution and notify the state of RA cancellation.
