We keep our pricing tiers simple — usually 2 or 3 options at the formation step, plus à la carte add-ons. Exact numbers update over time; this article describes what's included at each level.
Basic LLC Formation — $XX
The minimum needed to form a legal LLC. Best for: - Solo founders forming a single business - People who already have their own EIN strategy / business banking lined up - DIY-comfortable customers who want us to handle just the state paperwork

Premium LLC Formation — $XX
Everything in Basic, plus the post-formation essentials most customers end up needing within 30 days anyway. Best for: - First-time business owners who don't want to figure out what comes next - Anyone who needs a business bank account quickly (you need the EIN) - LLCs with more than one member (Operating Agreement becomes critical)
Includes everything in Basic PLUS: - ✅ EIN application with the IRS - ✅ Operating Agreement (customizable based on member structure) - ✅ BOI report filing with FinCEN - ✅ Compliance alerts dashboard - ✅ Same-business-day priority support (we respond within 1 hour during business hours)

Expedited state processing (where available): $XX-$200 depending on state — gets your LLC approved in 1-3 days instead of the standard 5-15

Each add-on is optional. We never auto-add anything to your cart. If you want it, you tick the box; if not, you don't.
What's NOT a one-time charge
Registered Agent subscription: $199/year, auto-renews on the anniversary of your purchase. Cancel anytime.
Annual report filings: per-year fee if you want us to handle them on your behalf.
BOI updates: filed within 30 days of any beneficial-ownership change. Initial filing is one-time; updates are billed separately.

State filing fees (always separate)
Every formation includes the state's fee passed through at cost. State fees range from $40 (Kentucky) to $500 (Massachusetts). See the state-by-state fees article for the full table.
You'll see the state fee broken out as a separate line on your invoice — never bundled into our service fee.
Discounts and promotions
We occasionally run promotions for: - First-time customer discounts (usually 15-25% off Premium) - Multi-LLC bundles (forming 2+ LLCs at once) - Referrals — see Discounts and referrals
We do NOT do: - "Free LLC, just pay state fees" bait (the state fee is way higher in some states; we'd rather just show the full price) - Time-pressure pop-ups ("Only 3 hours left!") - Hidden auto-charges after a free trial - Mandatory upsells you can't decline

How tiers compare to competitors
We won't name names here, but a few honest comparisons:
vs. the $0 + state fee crowd: their service fee is usually $0 only for the bare-bones tier; the actually-useful tier (with EIN + OA + BOI) ends up costing $250-$400 once they upsell you. Compare total-out-of-pocket, not the headline number.
vs. the premium-priced players: some competitors charge $300+ for what they call basic formation. We're priced in the middle of the market on purpose — fair price for good service, no premium-brand markup.
vs. doing it yourself: state filing is genuinely DIY-able if you're patient and detail-oriented. We save you a few hours and most of the "did I miss something?" anxiety. We don't claim to do magic — we claim to do the paperwork right.
