FormationHub's service fee

We charge a flat service fee regardless of state. The state fee shown at checkout passes through to the state — we don't mark it up. (Some competitors charge $200+ service fee plus state fees; check the total before committing.)

Hidden costs to know about

  • California: $800/year franchise tax — applies to every CA LLC even if no revenue. First-year fee was waived through 2024 but reinstated in 2025.

  • New York: $300-$2,000 publication requirement in 2 newspapers in the county where the LLC is registered. Often the biggest surprise for NY filers.

  • Nevada: $350/year combined annual list + state business license — most people don't realize this until year 2.
